ANAHEIM, Calif. – This fall at Disneyland Resort, Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park invites guests to celebrate the spirit of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, with culturally rich experiences honoring love, remembrance and familial bonds.
Featuring characters and music from Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning film “Coco,” this vibrant, limited-time celebration offers storytelling, festive décor, as well as special food and beverage offerings from Aug. 21 through Nov. 2, 2026.
The new Disney Pixar Coco Collection merchandise will also debut this fall with colorful apparel, accessories, headwear and more inspired by the film.
Delectable Mexican food
Paradise Garden Grill is serving a limited-time menu that invites families to enjoy a meal together that is inspired by Mexican cuisine. Menu highlights include:
- Chilaquiles carnitas torta – Red chilaquiles, refried beans, avocado spread, queso fresco, pickled red onions and a fried egg, served with chips
- Nuez Gelatina cake – Cinnamon sponge cake, pecan gelatina and whipped topping
- Marigold margarita – Wine based lime margarita topped with a marigold and orange sugar rim
Beginning Sept. 3, guests can sip in style with the new Coco Lantern sipper, which will be available at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante and Ship to Shore Marketplace in Disneyland Park, Paradise Garden Grill in Disney California Adventure, as well as other locations throughout the Resort.
Heartwarming entertainment featuring favorite ‘Coco’ songs
Beginning Aug. 21, 2026, “The Storytellers of the Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” show returns to Paradise Gardens Park. A traveling troupe of storytellers bring to life the everlasting bonds of family in this heartwarming celebration which features cherished songs from the film such as “Remember Me” and “The World Es Mi Familia,” as well as the classic Mexican folk song, “La Llorona.”
At the Paradise Garden Bandstand, live mariachi music encourages guests of all ages to sing and dance along.
Tributes to Día de los Muertos across Disneyland Resort
- In Cars Land, Ramone, one of the local car residents, honors Día de los Muertos at his detailing shop, Ramone’s House of Body Art, with a traditional ofrenda display for Doc Hudson.
- At Disneyland Park, Zócalo Park in Frontierland features a colorful installation with marigolds and banners of papel picado, along with two traditional ofrendas, sugar skulls known as calaveras and an iconic figure of La Catrina.
- Nearby, Rancho del Zócalo Restaurante offers delicious Mexican cuisine for lunch and dinner year-round.
