ANAHEIM, Calif. – At Disney California Adventure Park, Cars Land turns the town of Radiator Springs into Radiator Screams for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, Aug. 21-Oct. 31, 2026. During their Haul-O-Ween celebration, Lightning McQueen, Mater and the fellow “car-acters” decorate their establishments and don their favorite “car-stumes.” Two family-friendly attractions also get seasonal makeovers with themed décor and special music: Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becomes Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters becomes Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
Frightfully fun facts about Haul-O-Ween at Cars Land
- As guests enter Radiator Springs, they are greeted by Scary the Scare-car and on Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, they can hear the lore behind how Scary came to be.
- At Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, the tractors spin to Haul-O-Ween versions of popular songs, including “Monster Mash” as “Monster Truck Smash” and “Purple People Eater” as “Purple Fender Bender.”
- Guests can discover Sarge’s patch of seasonal pump-kins, gas cans on a vine, which he plans to gift to his neighbor, Fillmore, to make some “organic fuel.”
- The resident cars join in on the Haul-O-Ween spirit with their “car-stumes”: Mater becomes a “van-pire,” Lightning McQueen suits up as a Super Hero, Red the Fire Truck dresses up as a clown and Cruz Ramirez dons a pirate “car-stume.”
- In the lobby of the Cozy Cone Motel, Sally displays a themed miniature model of the motel made of candy.
- Guests can spot 30 “car-achnids” lurking around Radiator Screams, including an eight-legged Spider-car at Flo’s V8 Cafe. Made from a repurposed “Toadmobile” from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, it’s a great photo opportunity!
- Outside Lizzie’s Radiator Springs Curios sits an out-of-service “zombie” car whose undead battery refuses to “rust in pieces” as it tries to come back to life. Contrary to popular rumor, it’s not the remains of her beloved Stanley.
- Each evening, Cars Land is taken over by supernatural spirits for a haunting Sha-BOO! Sheriff’s voice can be heard bringing the town back to order and welcoming guests to Radiator Screams.
- Luigi and Guido never celebrated Haul-O-Ween before moving to Radiator Springs, and now it’s their favorite holiday. At Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, the duo invite their cousins to join the fun as their “Terror-antella” tells the story of how Luigi and Guido built the town’s beloved Scare-car, Scary.
- Unearthed on Haul-O-ween Night in 1936, the mysterious Horn-O-Plenty is returned to its rightful home every year and adorned with seasonal gifts by the residents of Radiator Screams.
- Mysterious happenings are underway at the old courthouse where a mad scientist has hooked up jumper cables and brought the building to life, complete with moving eyes in the window.
- Boo-licious Halloween-themed food and beverages are available throughout Cars Land, including spicy mango-habanero chicken strips and fries, and a refreshing pineapple-cucumber Agua fresca.
- Adding to the fall festivities, Ramone celebrates Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Ramone’s House of Body Art with painted hoods, marigolds, and a sugar car named Sugar outside. Plus, inside is an “ofrenda” honoring the life and legacy of the town’s good friend, Doc Hudson.
