Negotiations Underway with Actors’ Equity Association

August 2026:

Disneyland Resort values its cast members, offers competitive benefits, and is proud of its long history of working collaboratively with the unions that represent them. We began bargaining with the Actors’ Equity Association in late 2024 and have since participated in more than 50 days of negotiations, most recently on August 4, 2026.

Throughout this process, full-time and part-time cast members in this bargaining unit have continued to receive annual wage increases. Most recently, cast members received a 4% wage increase and currently earn between $26 and $31.27 per hour, including premiums, depending on their role.

As with any newly formed bargaining unit, this process is focused on establishing the initial terms and conditions of employment for cast members transitioning from non-union to union-represented roles. Negotiations are ongoing, and proposals may evolve as discussions continue.

November 16, 2024:

We are pleased that the IATSE Local 504 – Pyrotechnicians ratified a four-year agreement. This agreement includes wage increases for Cast Members represented by IATSE Local 504 and continue to demonstrate the value we place on our Cast.  Contract implementation will begin in the coming weeks.

October 2024:

Disneyland Resort will begin the inaugural collective bargaining for cast members represented by the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA) on October 23, 2024. The Actors’ Equity Association represents nearly 1700 Characters and Parades cast members who voted to unionize in May 2024.

In addition to the AEA negotiations beginning, the Disneyland Resort is currently negotiating contracts with the American Guild of Variety Artists representing Fantasmic! Specialty Performers and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 504, representing Pyrotechnician cast members.

We will continue to prioritize our conversations with the union leaders and look forward to implementing contract agreements that demonstrate our commitment to a positive work environment for all.
