Approximately 80% of Disneyland Resort cast members belong to a labor union. Unionized employees include cast members at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park as well as at Disneyland Resort hotels.

No. The Disney Look appearance guidelines are rooted in the company’s history. They present a standard to be upheld to help ensure that our guests enjoy an uninterrupted, immersive experience. Anything that distracts from the show or story, be it a non-approved button, pin or sticker worn by a cast member, would be addressed by a leader.
Our Disney Look and the costumes worn by our cast members are a critical part of enhancing the experience of our Disney show. As you enter Disneyland Park, the plaque reads “Here you Leave Today and Enter the World of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy,” and everything we do to create and protect that environment is intentional.
